Sharp edges are not allowed. Edges on C profiles must be uniform and smooth. Residual glue and foil must not be visible at a distance of 1 metre. Will be visible up close and this does not justify complaints. Defect silvering foil on the edge is not allowed. To be assessed according to the method described under item 3. Facetted edges Facetted edges (shiny/mat) Uniform and straight edge. Must not appear irregular. The facetted edge must be uniform and straight – see A on photo. The facet must be smooth and diagonal. The joint – see B on picture – is particularly visible on mat facetted edges. For dimension and tolerance of facet, please see drawing. A B Note: Differences exist between mirror doors within the individual concepts. In the documentation, they are described as follows: o Glued mirror doors without foil can be produced with a smooth, polished edge irrespective of integrated lighting with Flat edges, polished. C edges, polished – various radii. o Mirror doors without integrated lighting with film adhesive may be produced with flat, polished edges. Flat edges, polished. C edges, polished – various radii. o Mirror doors with film adhesive, if combined with integrated lighting, cannot be polished due to the risk of water between the mirrors. Here, the edges are polished and become mat. C edges, mat. 6. Gluing mirror brackets on double mirrors Residual glue outside brackets must not be visible. To be re-assessed according to the method described under item 3. 3
