INTRODUCTION Three months into the COVID-19 crisis, what is the status on procurement? What are the concerns? And what should the immediate actions be? In April 2020, DILF and Valcon conducted a survey to learn how companies are impacted by and managing the current COVID-19 crisis. The shock ot the initial COVID-19 impact appears to be more og less over as the majority of the respondents have now implemented formal crisis response teams, both internally and together with key suppliers. However, the crisis response is perhaps not as robust as it could be as the respondents in general lack an overview of current supply chain risks. This is emphasised by their concerns about future sales overview, fear of supply disruption and limited overview of possible alternative suppliers. Based on the findings in this survey, we have identified a number of recommendations to address these concerns. The 95 respondents of the survey are primarily based in Northern Europe and mainly include manufacturing and trading/wholesale companies. Company sizes vary from locally based companies to companies with global reach. 3
