I POST OPERATIVE CARE Collar Preparation for Production The next step in the development of the new BUSTER Premium Dog Collar was preparation for production. During this phase, KRUUSE collaborated with a well renowned product development engineering company. There were many decisions to take before production could begin. It was very important to end up with a collar with optimal patient comfort and fit. Therefore, it was necessary to take the different breeds, shapes and sizes of dogs into consideration. Some dogs have a long neck and a long nose, while others have a very stocky neck and hardly any nose – and then there are all possible combinations in between. KRUUSE decided to initially introduce three different sizes of the new BUSTER Premium Dog Collar to cover the most common dog breeds and subsequently add to this range according to demand. Another important goal was to avoid skin irritation for a patient wearing the collar, also when wearing the collar for an extended period in a hot climate. Therefore, a soft breathable material was chosen for the parts of the collar that would be in direct contact with the skin. Many additional decisions were also necessary before production could begin. Of course patient trials were carried out every step of the way to test functionality, patient comfort and ease of handling. n Better compliance n Better comfort n Ready to use ©KRUUSE March 2019 · 11824 · 471337 Mission Accomplished The BUSTER Premium Dog Collar is now a reality: A top-of-the-line assembled collar in polypropylene with perforated neoprene and Velcro closing.
