Quality Standard: Valid for all porcelain washbasins Quality Standard – rev. 08. 06.11.2020 Established: 06.11.2020 Version: 08 Initials: TNL Purpose 1) General information To create a uniform structure for control and approval of porcelain washbasins for Dansani/INR. To ensure that those people involved in quality assessment receive equal training/ instruction before the work is carried out. The guide is valid for all Dansani and INR porcelain washbasins and the prime goal is to ensure that the quality level, defined together with the markets, is also the one which is supplied to our customers. Quality definition 1.1)Visual control 1. Glazing: a. No crackling in the glazing. b. No remaining mould in the holes of outlet or overflow. c. No missing glazing on the raw porcelain. d. It should be free from excess glazing (runner) 2. Colour: a. No yellow or brown colours are accepted. Note 1: Yellow/brown colours occur when the white glazing does not cover edges or joints. Note 2: Yellow/brown colours are typically seen in basins or on the front of the washbasins. 3. Surface: a. Black spots are not to be seen from the check point. Black spots are accepted if they are < 0.5 mm. See further specification below (use suitable control equipment). b. Black scratches (hair scratched) are not accepted Note: Black scratches below glazing c. No bruises are accepted Note: Cracked or damaged glazing. 4. Pinholes: a. No pinholes may be seen from the observation distance. (See go/no go ref. issue and below specifications for A areas) 5. “Cellulite”: a. Visible cellulite are accepted, the level is defined on a reference issue (See go/no go issue ref. issue) Control method: Abovementioned visual control is estimated at a 70 cm distance, in normal light and in an undisturbed angle. Note: Normal light is the type of light which appear in bathrooms. E.g. errors which can only be seen by using extra light is not accepted. 3.a.
