In addition to the proven vortex generator solution on the V82-1.65MW®, turbine owners can now benefit from the latest development from Vestas R&D – the gurney flap. On the V90 and V100 turbines, Vestas is combining vortex generators with the gurney flaps, delivering annual energy production improvements of up to 1.2%*. Designed for Vestas blades The vortex generators and gurney flaps have been specifically designed for Vestas blades, and strategically placed on the blade, providing optimal aerodynamic improvement. The components have been extensively tested, and all materials have been carefully selected to meet the highest standards.
