Low Voltage Measurement System The Low Voltage Measurement System (LVMS) ensures generation of profit for the power produced on the low voltage side of the main transformer. Some countries accept payment of the power produced on the low voltage side, meaning your business case is improved. Power losses in the transformer, cables, electrical infrastructure of the wind farm and the main substation transformer are financially compensated compared to measurement on the high voltage side. The Low Voltage Measurement System (LVMS) is a flexible solution, It is adjusted to the specific turbine model and fulfils local requirements to measurement equipment. The LVMS measures the power production by current transformers (CT). It is mounted on the bus bars in the transformer room and Voltage is measured on bus bars in the Grid Cabinet. The CT’s & Voltage inputs are connected to the primary meter unit in the Nacelle, with data available through SCADA. Data from the meter can also be accessed remotely through the communication network. CT modules Vestas Wind Systems A/S Hedager 44 . 8200 Aarhus N . Denmark Tel.: +45 9730 0000 .
